The theme to this film (which is a continuation in the series and in theme from Batman Begins) is that good versus evil is not only an external fight between a "good" guy and a "bad" guy, but also is a constant battle that rages inside each and every one of us. Christian Bale, as Bruce Wayne, is forced to make a great deal of judgment calls based upon the circumstances being piled against him by The Joker, played by Heath Ledger. Unfortunately, some of the choices and actions he performs cause him to become alienated from his closest friends, and ultimately the city in its entirety. But in doing so, he solidifies himself as the classic tragic hero that the city loves and hates in equal measure.

Hats off. Chris Nolan too good. Aaron Ekhart,Gary Oldman superb.Editing,Sound,Background score brilliant. The film in short excels in all is the soul of the film,20years since Jack Nicholson played it. He too will fall in love with this Joker.I am just thrilled a performance Heath Ledger has given. I can see a posthumous Oscar for him at the Kodak Theatre 2009 hands down. I can just go on writing and writing the praise for him 1000 words are insufficient. "You complete me" what a line boss. This line has to be included in the all-time Hollywood famous quotes. Ladies and Gentlemen the 2008 entertainer has arrived. This movie is awesome! So many batman secrets unleashed.I am terrified! You all should watch this.
